12-hour+ shifts can be draining and leave you tired, especially if you’re not eating right. Eating healthy snacks during your shift can make the difference between going home to the couch to having a sweat sesh in your Athletic Yoga Scrubs. Here are our fave snacks that give us energy and focus.

1. Smoothie whatever you can

Smoothies can be packed with your favorite fruit and vegetables to provide a vitamin boost when you most need it. Try a handful of berries, bananas, and greens like kale. Toss in chia seeds and even Tumeric…mmm.

If you’re worried about the sugar in smoothies, consider using a mixer like almond or coconut milk instead of orange juice, and use more greens instead of sugary fruits.

2. Seeds aren’t just for the birds

Snacking on seeds such as pumpkin or sunflower seeds is a healthy alternative to eating candies or cookies. The health benefits of seeds include; antioxidants, fiber, and protein. BTW, protein will make you feel full too.

3. Boiled Eggs
Eggs are the perfect protein filled energy boost, particularly at lunchtime.
